Harlston Foods captures New Zealand’s peak-season vegetables at their freshest and freeze-dries them within hours — locking in flavour, colour and nutrition for the pantry.

New Zealand grows some of the best vegetables in the world — but at their freshest they last only days. Fresh spoils quickly, frozen needs a freezer, and canned loses its goodness.
We saw a better way: capture that produce at its peak and freeze-dry it — so the flavour, colour and nutrition keep for years, ready whenever you are.

Harlston Foods’ range of freeze-dried vegetables takes New Zealand grown produce, shreds and freeze-dries it — locking in the nutrients and adding years to their lifespan.
The result is a valuable, healthy product that’s ready to use — nothing added, just the water taken out.
We see this product — marketed beyond the usual outdoor industry — competing with frozen vegetables and fresh produce in the consumer space. We’re promoting these benefits to retirement homes, boarding schools and clubs across New Zealand, with the goal of pushing our high-quality produce overseas in freeze-dried form.
We’re starting with potatoes and a launch range of carrot and beetroot — but this is only the beginning of the Harlston range.
Each stage widens the range, the formats, and ultimately the map — from Kiwi kitchens to the world.
